【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtomeasurethepermeabilitytoairofasmallsampleofrock.Byextrapolation,thistestmethodalsodeterminesanequivalentoftheliquidpermeability.Thisparameterisusedtocalculatetheflowthroughrockoffluidssubjectedtoapressuredifferential.Note18212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthistestmethod,themeasuresofprecisionofthistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingthem,andonthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansforevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecoefficientofspecificpermeabilityfortheflowofairthroughrocks.Theprocedureestablishesrepresentativevaluesofthecoefficientofpermeabilityofrocksorwell-induratedsoils.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtopermeabilityvaluesgreaterthan0.9869pm2(1.0picodarcy),andislimitedtorocksfreeofoilorunctuousmatter.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
