【摘要】:Thispracticefacilitatestheselectionandapplicationofaninsulationsystemforuseatservicetemperaturesbetweenx2212;30and+107x00B0;C(x2212;22and+225x00B0;F).Althoughthesuccessfulinstallationofspray-appliedPUR/PIRisinfluencedbymanyfactors,thispracticetreatsthosefourareasfoundtobeofmajorimportance:(1)Substratepreparation,(2)Substratepriming,(3)Insulationapplication,and(4)Protectivecoatings.Abrasiveblasting,primerapplication,sprayapplicationoftheinsulation,andprotectivecoatingapplicationeachcontributetheiruniquehealthandsafetyhazardstothejobsiteandwillbedealtwithinmoredetailundertheirrespectiveheadings.1.1Thispracticeconcernsitselfwiththesubstratepreparationandpriming,theselectionoftherigidcellularpolyurethanesystem,andtheprotectiveinsulationcoatingsforoutdoorserviceequipment.Note1--Forthepurposeofthispractice,polyurethaneisdefinedtomeaneitherpolyurethaneorpolyisocyanurateandishereafterreferredtoas"PUR/PIR."1.2Thevaluesgivenininch-poundaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
