【摘要】:Thisguideprovidesinformation,procedures,andrequirementsformanagementandoperationofdispersantsprayapplicationequipment(boomandnozzlesystems)inoilspillresponse.Thisguideprovidesinformationonrequirementsforstorageandmaintenanceofdispersantsprayequipmentandassociatedmaterials.Thisguidewillaidoperatorsinensuringthatadispersantsprayoperationiscarriedoutinaneffectivemanner.1.1Thisguidecoverstheessentialconsiderationsforthemaintenance,storage,anduseofoilspilldispersantapplicationsystems.1.2Thisguideisapplicabletospraysystemsemployingboomsandnozzlesandnottoothersystemssuchasfiremonitors,sonicdistributors,orfan-sprayguns.1.3Thisguideisapplicabletosystemsemployedonshipsorboatsandhelicoptersorairplanes.1.4Thisguideisoneoffourrelatedtodispersantapplicationsystems.GuideF1413coversdesign,PracticeF1460coverscalibration,TestMethodF1738coversdeposition,andGuideF1737coverstheuseofthesystems.Familiaritywithallfourstandardsisrecommended.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
