【摘要】:Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryfortheacceptanceofcommercialshipmentsofsleepingbagssincethistestmethodhasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptance.Manyfabricsduetophysicalmakeuporthefinishingprocessesarecombustibletosomedegree.Somecombustiblefabricswhenusedforsleepingbagsarepotentiallydangeroustotheuserbecauseofeaseofignitionandburnrate.Oneofthesecharacteristicscanbemeasuredwiththistestmethod.Itmustbeunderstood,however,thatnoguaranteecanbegivenandnoneisimpliedthatsleepingbagsachievingthisstandardforflammabilitywillnotbehazardousundercertainconditions.Finishesandfabricsurfacechangescanexertalargeeffectonflammability.Therefore,sleepingbagsaretestedbeforeaswellasafterlaunderingordrycleaninginaccordancewiththemanufacturerrsquo;instructions.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoallsleepingbags.1.1Thistestmethodcoversameanstomeasuretheenduseflammability,forexample,burnrateofsleepingbagswhichusevariousmaterialsandconstructionsintheirmanufacture,andprovideslabelingrequirementstofacilitatetheidentificationofproductsconformingtothistestmethod.1.2ThistestmethoddefinestheproceduresdescribedintheflammabilitystandardCPAI-75whichhasbeentheacceptedstandardinthesleepingbagindustryintheU.S.forover30years.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafire-riskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
