【摘要】:Thispracticeshallbeusedwhenultrasonicinspectionisrequiredbytheorderorspecificationforinspectionpurposeswheretheacceptanceoftheforgingisbasedonlimitationsofthenumber,amplitude,orlocationofdiscontinuities,oracombinationthereof,whichgiverisetoultrasonicindications.Theacceptancecriteriashallbeclearlystatedasorderrequirements.1.1ThispracticeforultrasonicexaminationcoversturbineandgeneratorsteelrotorforgingscoveredbySpecificationsA469/A469M,A470/A470M,A768/A768M,andA940/A940M.Thisstandardshallbeusedforcontacttestingonly.1.2Thispracticedescribesabasicprocedureofultrasonicallyinspectingturbineandgeneratorrotorforgings.Itdoesnotrestricttheuseofotherultrasonicmethodssuchasreferenceblockcalibrationswhenrequiredbytheapplicableprocurementdocumentsnorisitintendedtorestricttheuseofnewandimprovedultrasonictestequipmentandmethodsastheyaredeveloped.
